Updates

Blurb My Brain:
So its a Monday. And barely after noon.  I have been laying in bed for the last hour or so.  See, I did get up.  But then, I wasn't feeling well, and realized that I have no reason to get up.  I am not going anywhere, and after eating lunch, I have nothing else planned for the day.  My parents are off gallivanting with the Realtor.  Hopefully soon they will decide on a house for us to move into.  Granted, our stuff won't be getting here from Germany until the end of September. So even if we move in, we won't have any stuff. But still, if we find a place, then I can look for a job, and get a car, and make some friends, and go somewhere and not be as bored.

On top of waiting for that, I am waiting the next month to go by so that I can see Boyfriend.  :) He made me so happy the other day, Readers.  And by the other day I meant last night.  See originally we were planning on spending a couple days here, then a couple days at his parent's house, and then a week in Vegas before he flies back to work. (Military whatever-ism sucks!) And then we got the idea to see a concert whilst we were there, and I did some looking into who would be in town.  Unfortunately, everyone worth seeing was there the week prior.  SO, I thought, no big deal, I'll just change the dates of the Vegas trip to a week prior. WRONG! It is about three times the cost.  Well, I am an unemployed college student for the time, so I couldn't afford a 3 grand trip to Vegas.  I was all disheartened because I had bought some SUPER CUTE clothes that are Vegas appropriate but not much elsewhere. lol.  But, dun dun dun dun! (that was triumphant superhero music) In swooped Boyfriend, with a way to still go to Vegas, and for cheap. I love this boy.  And not because we get to go vacation in Vegas, but because he always finds ways to make me happy.

Also, he randomly skyped me last night, and I got to have a good 15 minute conversation.  That ALWAYS makes me happy.  And he laughed and shook his head when he opened the card that I sent him about 12 days ago.  It was a Hoops and Yoyo card. It was like "Knock knock" "who's there?" "monsieur" "Monsieur who?" "no no I monsieeur" "ohhhh i get it.... I misss youuu!!!""oui!"
I loved it.

Anyway, That's about all I have for updates. :/ Oh! I suppose I can show you guys my awesome new yellowstone tshirt! :D

The little things.

Blurb my brain:
I am lazy. Hence why I am updating from my phone, when the laptop is on the floor. But that's because I am SUPER excited. I got a new cell phone today. It is the iPhone 4. And it is white. And it has two cameras. And it has flash for the pictures. Eeeeeeeeek!!! So that's basically the entirety of its difference from the 3GS. Oh. I also got $105 for trading that sucker in. I was so happy. :) it's always the little things that make me happy.

Recap via pictures

Blurb My Brain:

Alright. So I have some catching up to do.  I took a ton of pictures and thought I would show it in pictures rather than try and make you go back to each of the entries and see how they fit into the different entries. I don't know if I even talked about all of them.  So for the ones that I'm repeating, I'm sorry.  I just don't have that kind of time or energy yet. I'm a bad blogger. But I don't care much. Ok, I do. I care a lot. So here are the pictures.

This was taken from the balcony of my grandpa's house in Colorado.  He had eaten most of the feed in the feeder.  My grandpa doesn't live in the country, and in fact he lives in Colorado Springs, towards the center of town I guess.  But this big guy (a 7 pointer) hiked over from the bluffs I guess, and drains the bird feeder.

This is my Aunt Nancy's cat, Peanut.  Her real name is Penelope, but she responds better to Peanut.  She's a pretty cat, which is why I took the picture.

This is our cat, Buddy.  We call him Bud Bud, Budkins, Schnookums-Bookums, and a variety of other names.  He responds to all of them.  He fell asleep in this corner, and the sign was already on the floor there.  I thought it was funny, and so I took a picture of it.

Out of Colorado, there was a double rainbow.  This wasn't a great picture.

This game is cribbage.  And it was the closest game ever.  I was the blue, grandma was the red, and my dad was green.  Dad was on the verge of being skunked, and somehow he caught up.  It was awesome.

Extreme couponers.  This is rediculous.  She easily had 150 sticks of deodorant in there.  It should have equaled over 300 dollars.  She paid $26.39.  We unfortunately had to wait in line.

This picture says so much. :)

This is a gas station in Wyoming. It was pretty cowboy-esque.  On the inside as well.

Blame it on the Tetons, man I need a cold one now.

This is hardly a motorcycle.  It was the size of a smart car! But it sure was pretty. :)

Yellowstone, view of the forests.

This was the area that was burned by a cigarette.

This was parked outside of Old Faithful, and it made me laugh. And the two teens behind me thought it was funny as well.

And that was the progression of Old Faithful.  It is much more magnificent in person.  Also it was hardly faithful, since all the signs said different erupting times, and they all had a +/- 10 minutes in it.  Oh well.  It was cool.

This is the Montana Forest fires on the way to Spokane.  It has closed the road to Boyfriend's family's house.
Another view of the fires outside of Missoula.
Our "hotel" in Spokane is basically a house.  And the pets cant be on the furniture.
It even has a FULL kitchen.
And my brother and I have our own beds!
And we each have a huge closet!

Sorry I couldn't be more exciting.  But that is life for you.  At least, that's my perfectly Average life.

Weird dreams

So Readers, I have mentioned before that I can have some crazy and often violent dreams. And before you turn me over to the local authorities, I figured I would justify mysel with giving you guys two of my dreams. I don't have dreams that make much sense. An I realized this when I was typing this up this morning an had to go back and put it into logical and chronological order. Alright. Here are last noght's dreams.

It was the final movie of Harry Potter, after Voldemort's defeat and I was Harry Potter. I had been training as a dragon for several months, and when I used my controller, I was very good. But when it came time to face the fire dragon I had to use my hands to control my dragon breath and I couldnt get the fire to come out by squeezing my fingernails. So I kept diving into the lake where the second dragon couldn't follow me since he was a dust dragon. I escaped both of them for an instant and began running through the hotel, passig all the people who were fleeing. I get outside to find Hermione mad at me and not talking to me. Then I see the female dragon in the sky and we narrowly miss her green fireball. Hermione explains that I have no powers because my friends connection has dwindled and therefore I have no power.  Finally I begged the dragon to let me start over. She agreed but promised me she would come back for me. Meanwhile Hermione was mad at JK Rowling for releasing another book. we were on a park bench with another Harry Potter. Somehow after everything which happened in the books, the Dursleys were completely unaware of any magic and were nice to the second Harry potter. He acted like he was mute around the Dursleys but yelled at me after they left for nearly blowing his magical cover. Then I had to take the bus to some alley in town to find out how to beat a dragon who swore to battle me. While I was in the shop I was informed that in exactly 17 minutes someone would be giving me something and I must take it and eat it. That was all the shop did for me and I stormed out, and began walking back. 17 minutes later, someone hands me a sliced apple. It had a Styrofoam consistency and the world went black. I woke up.

Everyone in the world had superpowers. My power was to create weather. Dad was strong. Patrick grew poisonous green spiked grasshopper type bugs out of his back.  We started out running from the bad guys who were with the same powers. Except no one had Patrick's power. Then we met at the house at the Jersey shore and that's when we got our costumes. Then there was an attack in Korea so we flew over there and kicked the asses of the bad superheroes again. Afterwards I decided to run by Boyfriend's dorm and see if he was there. He was and the cleaning lady was there so he was on the balcony. I ask him if he wanted to go back to my place, so we hop into my VW beetle that I don't have.

Useless Skill

Oh Readers, I KNOW you logged on today to read all about what painfully average thing I have done today. And I am not one to disappoint. Today I learned how to play the card game Spades. It is that card game that comes free on your computer and you never win because you don't know how to play. Not hearts,  but supposedly it is similar. I won't go into detail because 1: I like having an edge on people. Because, come on, do you know how to play? And 2: I think that is too much average for one entry. (read: too boring and lengthy and I am too lazy to type it on my iPhone.) And 3: I have only 15% battery left on my phone. Ok so 3 isn't an excuse because I COULD theoretically plug it in but then I would have to stand by the light switch because that is the only plug in the room. Again I am lazy. So anyway, back to my original thought. . . I learned how to play Spades. It is such a different game than Cribbage it was refreshing to play. I played partner to Grandma With Light Up Shoes. He first game was down right embarrassing. We got so far in the negatives we decided to do nothing but make wagers til we got out of the hole. Then the second game was closer, meaning we stayed pretty much the whole game in the positives, and then we just barely lost. The third game was ours though. We won it with close to a hundred points to spare. And we went the whole game with accurate guessing of points up until the last hand. It was down right FUN.

OH. Today was Daddy's birthday, so we started out the morning with some breakfast and some cribbage. Then we ate at Taco Bell where they completely forgot my order. I had even went from one fresco taco to three and they forgot it. No worries I ate it but was still hungry but we didn't have much time before Grandma's boyfriend was to come over and we were to go to Red Lobster for Daddy's birthday. So we play a hand of Cribbage and dad mentions something about Spades when I was talking to my partner (Mommy). So then I asked how to play and he showed me a dummy hand. We finished out the round of Cribbage and went to play Spades.

Grandma's boyfriend came so we went to Red Lobster. I had been threatened that I HAD to eat what I ordered (rightfully so, since I have taken To-Go boxes at the last two places [but it is because my appetite has sucked since I have been sick]) so I got a side of Scampi and a side Caesar salad. YUM. I even ate it all.

So we ate, we laughed, we watched Patrick sleep, then we went home and played some more Spades. Pretty fantastic for an Average Alyssa day.

Side Note: if you really are interested in Spades, I can try and explain it. Maybe. Lol

OSD Par two ish

Ack. This one goes before the visiting grandpa. Whatever. I have been crazy sick so that's my excuse.

Written August 16th at 19:58
Today was shopping with the other grandma. My paternal grandmother is a totally different person than my maternal grandmother. Not in a bad way or anything. Just different. We did another OSD today. We started out at the local abby with some wine tasting.  I spent $75 there on two cork holders, a barrel and a bottle, one of which I am going to mail to Boyfriend's mom.  We hit the Goodwill again. I only found 3 tops and a skirt and a pair of pajamas but I paid only $23.00. Then we had to go buy Daddy's birthday gifts since his birthday is Friday, so we stopped at best buy to pick up Breaking Bad seasons one and two, so Jonathan and I had gifts for him.

See for Father's Day, I bought him season three because it was all the crappy military electronics store had. I never had luck when it comes to buying television episodes. I bought him the wrong seasons of Smallville twice before I got it right on the third try.

So anyway I went to Kohls to get the other gift, from Mom, which was a nice new wallet. While in Kohls we looked in the kids shoes for my Grandma. For years, she's been telling me how she wished they made light up shoes for adults. While I was in one of the hotels, I had seen an ad for Sketchers Sporty Shorty shoes and I knew I had to tell Grandma when I had seen her. She was beyond happy when she tried them on and they fit. She just kept giggling and saying how I made her whole year! We got up to the cashier girl and grandma was so happy she was smiling ear to ear. I told the girl that the shoes are for my grandma and she just laughed. Ok, so now my grandmother sounds weird or mentally handicapped but I swear she is not. She just likes feeling like a 16 year old sometimes. And there is nothing wrong with wanting that in my opinion.

On he completely CRAPPY side though, I have not stopped sneezing since I entered the country. I took a claritin d this morning but by 2 pm my nose began to run and I started sneezing. Been miserable since. Snort sneeze cough sneeze snort blow sneeze blow. Now my fricken nose is raw around my nostrils. It hurts to sneeze it hurts to blow it hurts to rub. Have I mentioned that I unknowingly rub my nose? Yeah. We left St. Louis but I am still in Misery.

Visiting the Grandpa

Death. My stuffy head has retaliated against the Claritin. My nose has constantly run down the back of my throat and so it's raw. And I am sure the drainage has something to do with the fact I now have a terrible cough. I feel like death. As far as I can tell, I don't have a fever.

Still, we went to see my grandfather in Colorado Springs. We were ready at 10 am, but Grandpa said we couldnt meet him until 1pm. No big deal, we went to the mall to kill some time. The parents took Patrick and I took Jonathan to look at Borders. We got two books for the ride from Colorado to Washington. I got a book that True Blood is supposedly based on. I just wanted something with some length. I also wanted to go somewhere with wifi and catch up on the Facebook notifications. Boyfriend wrote on my wall telling me he misses me and I felt comforted. I didn't look at much since he was basically all I cared to see.

Then we went to Grandpa's house and talked about where we were going for Dad's birthday lunch. We decided on Cheddar's, and all piled in the car and truck. I didn't know what I was going to eat, whether it was potato soup or chicken Alfredo penne or salad. I chose the Alfredo. Unfortunately, with little to no smell, it was bland. I should have the soup. I couldn't taste my pasta, and every bite I took I felt worse. Oh well.

After coming back and laying down, I had reached a low point even after a 2 hour nap. When I sat up I started feeling better, but not by much. I went downstairs to join the rest of the family in the basement. That's where we saw the wild deer. There was a seven point buck eating out of the bird feeder. The feeder started about half full. The buck ate every last bit of the bird seed inside. He even took the time to clean up some of the spillage on the ground. I was shocked that we could be so close to him. We had Patrick playing with the ball, screaming, and yelling only 15 feet away from him. I guess it was also a shock to see a deer in the middle of Colorado Springs. So cool.

Paranormal activity meets real world

Written 22:04 on August 11
We arrived safely in Colorado around three hours ago. My nose still hates me. It doesn't like the hot, and it doesn't like the cold. It doesn't like the dry and an it doesn't like the wet. All I am ever doing is fricken sneezing.

Staying in my late great Grandma's house probably isn't helping. She died a couple months ago and I would be lying if I said that I am completely cool.

See, readers, I am not only a big nerd, but I am also a HUGE pansy. There. I said it. So staying in the house where my great grandma died is givin me the creeps. I didnt know her all that well, but it is still creepy.

But the best thing about being in Colorado: NO MOSQUITOES! yay!!!!

But the sad thing is that I have NO internet access in the house. So this might be my last entry for a while.

Another Long Car Ride

Blurb My Brain:
Oye. Another long day in the car.  I managed to read all remaining 7 of my books.  I was reading a Manga called Rasetsu, which is about a psychic girl who was attacked by a demon on her 15th birthday and told that unless she finds true love, she's doomed to die and be his undead wife.  So she grows up to fight ghosts as a way of preparing to face the demon on her 20th birthday.  Pretty good series.  Oh, I am a nerd. Did I tell you guys that?

But after I finished that, I had nothing to do. So I think I slept.  I didn't sleep well, since the air here (in the US) makes me sneeze all the time.  I took two benedryl, then wanted to sleep but Dad kept waking me up.  Because we were getting close to the hotel.  This hotel is nice, and has its own jungle.  Too bad it has a $50 pet fee and $10/day wifi charge. Pft. I guess it's still cheaper than the $100 pet and free wifi at the hotel in Baltimore. Still, I think of the money they are making in the hotel business, and it makes me sick.

Somewhere in Minnesota our GPS died because the power cord was broken.  We bought a "new" power cord (fits blackberries) at a Kum n' Go gas station about 14 miles outside of Des Moines, Iowa.  My immature mind couldn't handle it, so I took a picture.

And since I have $10 wifi, I'm going to update you on some of the photos I took since I left Saint Louis.

I took this picture because we thought that my brother Jonathan would LOVE This car. I love this picture because of things you can't see, such as I was on the opposite side of the Ford F150 SuperCab, leaning over a carseat with a sleeping Patrick insides, and still managed to get a great picture in considering the truck was IN MOTION, and I couldnt' see that far over. :) I'm awesome

But I'm not as awesome as this bathroom sign in Smokey Bones. Ok, so this one and the next few are still from Saint Louis, but it was since I last updated. That counts, right? Regardless, this was a cool bathroom sign.

They had a ton of these "Bone-isms" around the restaurant, and if I had the time, I would have taken more pictures of some of them. This was a mildly humorous one. And the tone is the same tone I write in. :)

This is what the Skinny Redheaded Hottie looks like.  It is a vodka cranberry sprite.  I'm not used to drinking it with the sprite in it as well.  Quite frankly I didn't like it much. But my next drink was good.

This one was hanging above the urinal, and NO I didn't go in there to see it.  I had my friend's boyfriend Matt take it for me.  He was such a sweet guy, especially since this was the first time I have ever met him.

Ok, So this is the Blackberry Mojito that I chased the Redheaded hottie with.  It was definitely more delicious.  Also, I liked the first line of the SRH description.

This is how I got to see my best friend Emily. Via the drive through. For about 30 seconds. I love this girl, and wish I had more time in STL to catch up with her. :/

And we definitely needed more photo opportunities.

When in Wisconsin, we met up with Dad's former troop, Cassie.  She had two adorable girls. She offered to trade one of her kids, and my parents said "Jon" right away. It was pretty funny, even if they were joking.
This is the look Patrick kept doing for about 15 pictures with Cassie's two girls. Made us laugh because he looked drunk off the girls. LOL

This was as close as we could get with his eyes open.

At the bar that my grandpa goes to in Wisconsin, they have these for chair backs. I thought it looked really cool.  They also had motorcycles, and wolves, but this one reminded me of Germany.

Speaking of the bar, this is it. It used to be a little brick of a building, and much darker.  But the owner spent $1.5 million on the new tavern, and it is about 6 times the size. The bar was pretty packed for 9am.  Oh, they serve breakfast, which is why we were there. LOL.

While shopping, I saw that there is a model with the same name as me.

And something about this little boys' shirt really made me smile. I <3 monsters.

We had chinese in the mall that day as well, and I loved my fortune.  It made me think of Boyfriend, and how I get to see him in 7 weeks.  :)

LOOK AT THESE COOKIE CUTTERS! OMG!!!!!

This is my replacement for Boyfriend. Well, until I am with Boyfriend. I'm going to get Boyfriend's last name embroidered as a name tag on the left side. :)

Normally, my grandpa makes FANTASTIC cheesecakes.  This one turned out alright, but we were afraid for a few minutes.  He really never messes them up, but that night was a weird night for baking.  Grandma's carrot cake came out less than fluffy, although still delicious.

This is the cabin up at the lake, owned by my mom's aunt (Cole, Jack, and Leah's parents).  They tore down their cabin, hence the crater, and built this new monstrosity instead.  The old cottage was another one of those brick of a buildings. lol.  It was such a nice place though.  I thought I had a picture of the lake, which is at my back, but I guess I never took that picture. Sorry.

Leaving Wisconsin, look what we saw.  We got pictures. It was awesome.

Here is the Kum N Go.  lol.  Also, as we were setting up the GPS, gas dropped 3 cents, down to 3.28. Since we are Ford F150 owners, we were less than pleased. I still found it humorous.

This is the INSIDE of the hotel I am typing this at.  They have two huge sunroofs to let in that natural Nebraska light it.  Fancy.  :)

It's a Double Tree Hotel. In case you were wondering.

WHEW! I'm beat. That was a long entry. Hope you enjoyed it.  I don't think my grandma has wifi in Colorado, so I might not be updating for a while again. Check back often!

Reason Why Boyfriend Kicks Ass

For ease of copy pasting, since FB stinks, this is Boyfriend:
And this is me.

And there's formatting errors, but I don't give a damn. Facebook has made it impossible to show this in an easy format and after messing with it for 20 minutes, I'm sick of looking at it. So get over it. lol. Cue conversation as why Boyfriend kicks major ass:
I cant wait for you to get to spokane so I dont have to do so much math to figure out what time it is
subtract 2 hours
that's all you gotta do
right now
lol
cause its 1230 there right?

I know but then I gotta try to remember that

  •  watch set

  •  that's for the time I am at now. tomorrow and the next 10 days it is 930 on friday the 12th

  • quit hopping around time zones

  •  sorry, its the time traveling that I'm doing

  •  well your going the wrong way
    • guess you dont want to see me cause you are going back in time
    • sad me

      • dont you remember back to the future
    •  but what if when you THOUGHT you saw me, you were really seeing the me from right now?
      • *win*
    •  then thats just wierd

    Eggs, Fish, Birds, and Trees

    Blurb My Brain:
So I had a semi-eventful day.  I started out by going into town and playing Cribbage with my grandpa and then heading to the bar to get some breakfast (yummy scrambled eggs and wheat toast).  Then when I got back, I helped the family pack up the truck, since we leave Wisconsin tomorrow.  After that, we watched a marathon of Disaster Date on MTV before heading to a seafood buffet.

An $11.25 per person all you can eat buffet.  This buffet had whitefish, cod, and haddock. Shrimp and crab.  FOUR KINDS OF POTATOES: mashed, boiled. pancakes, and salad.  And unlike most all-you-can-eat buffets, this stuff was pretty good.  I would even go so far as to say I got a food baby.  Plus, I had a drink there, which was probably 8 shots of rum, and three or four shots of coke.  Strong even by my standards.

Then we went to talk to my great aunt Ginny, and talk with her family.  I love my cousins, in their own separate ways.  Jonny, Chris, and Vicky all treat me well, and now that I'm older I get to have adult conversations with them.  I still generally walk out of the room when they talk politics, since I'm more than a little out of the American political system.  Regardless, I love how my family tree has formed.  My great cousins are old enough to be my parents (and mentally young enough to keep up with me), my other cousins mentioned in yesterday's post are three generations later (technically) but are a year older, a year younger and two or three years younger. We're not incredibly large, but we can spend a lot of time together.

Then when I came home, we watched a movie called Twelve, and it was pretty good. It was about a drug, called Twelve, and how it really fucks up a high school.  I saw the last hour, and it was great.  I think one of the dealers was 50 Cent.  And "White Mike" was cute.

But to think, I watched this movie with my Grandparents. It's these things that make me realize how much I love my family.  And I may have not always gotten along with my parents (especially earlier) but sometimes I realize just how well I get along with them for the most part now.  My dad reads regularly, and I'm sure he'll call me out, but I feel that I've grown up enough to realize that they aren't out to get me. I don't agree with quite a few of their rules and regulations (army terms. lol), but I have learned to accept it and work around them.

What I haven't accepted are these DAMN MOSQUITOES! Seriously, my immune system has been spent.  It used to be that they would swell up and expand to the size of my fist (maybe 2.75 inches?) in the past.  Once I had one on the back of my knee, and it immobilized my leg until the swelling went down.  But I was doing SO well this trip, where the bites would only swell to dime or nickel sized welts.  UNTIL TODAY where a calf bite has swollen to unacceptable size.  I think my body just can't handle the Wisconsin State Bird population where my grandparents live.

    OSD

    Blurb My Brain:
    Written 9 August around 3pm
Obligatory shopping day with Grandma and Mom.  It stems from the fact that grandma was raised differently where the girls hand out with the girls and the men with the men.  Cross-hang is not allowed.  Well, it's allowed, it just never happens.  This means that there must be at least one OSD, often it is the mall followed by Goodwill.  Since we already did Goodwill earlier this week, here we are in the mall.  After telling her that I don't want to be in JC Penney because I don't want to spend money, we looked around for almost 20 minutes.  Then I saw the CUTEST dress.  It was on sale, but not by much.  It was still $70.  Did I mention I didn't want to spend money? She offered to buy me one thing today and I'm thinking of making it that dress.  Or going halvsies.  Or buying her lunch and calling it even.

But seriously, I'm unemployed.  Shopping is not fun when you are unemployed.  Knowing if I ONLY have $170 in my checking account to last me until I get a job at least two months from today (and that's being hopeful in a 9% unemployment rate country), has killed my desire to shop.  I just wanted to get out of the house even for an OSD.  I'm getting bored in the country.  I need things to do.  Only three more days here and then it is time for Colorado.

    Written 11 August:
So yesterday we went to the lake, and got to see some of the cousins.  I had been hoping to see Brittany and Jack, but only got to see Cole and Leah.  I love Cole and Leah though.  Cole is a year older than me, and Leah is two years younger than me.  Cole is engaged to Brittany, and both are red heads.  I was hoping for a red-head trifecta picture again.  Oh well.  I got to watch Patrick play in the water, and watch Jonathan water ski.  It was cool.  I tried a Leinenkugel beer, which is an Americanized version of a hefeweizen beer from Germany.  It was alright.  Hopefully I can find a good beer to recommend for my best friend Maria when she comes to live in the good ol' US of Ah.

I'm missing the German food though.  I think my body got used to it, so eating the American food has messed with my digestive tract.  That's all I'm going to say.  PLUS: America is the land of variety, so that means healthy food as well. I have to keep telling myself that, since I see Star Crunches, and new flavors of Kit Kats and M&M's (like Coconut M&M's???) and I reach for them.  If I keep telling myself that I'll eat healthy, eventually it WILL happen.

Side Note: It is looking more and more like the pictures will be uploaded when I get to Spokane, sorry. In the country, the internet is poor and far between.  I'm lucky I can even blog.

Our State Bird is the Mosquito.

    Blurb My Brain:
So I have made it to Wisconsin.  Unfortunately, I have not been exposed to mosquitoes for three years. I say unfortunately, since I forgot how much they sucked. Pun not intended.  Seriously, what purpose were these stupid bugs serving? Don't give me the spider food kick, because I KNOW that the spiders totally have enough to eat in their food chain where mosquitoes don't need to exist.  These things here in Wisconsin are BRUTAL too.  Most mosquitoes use that numbing shit to make it to where you don't realize they are biting you.  But not these guys. NOOOO. These suicidal daredevils will bite you without the numbing stuff and it hurts/itches at the same time. The VERY FIRST ONE that bit me actually freaked me out because the damn stinger/nose/straw-of-death-and-vampirism was STUCK inside my bite AFTER I had killed him. And these things are ALL over!  I kid you not, we didn't even get out of the truck before we saw them swarming! I was outside for maybe 10 minutes while bringing in the luggage and in the first 30 seconds I already had 5 bites.  Grr. But at least it was raining, and windy, so they seem to have been dying down a little bit.  Ha. The undead state bird of Wisconsin, dying down. Whatever. Makes me laugh. But anyway, we were able to have nearly a whole evening outside for dinner without being bothered too much.  The dinner was for Mom, who decided to have an impromptu dinner for her friends.  I guess we're having an additional dinner in a couple days for family.  Looking forward to that.

True Blood is on.  I haven't fallen in love with the show yet. Not because I'm watching it. I haven't seen one episode.  I figure I will just watch it later, when I can see it on iTunes or something.   But then I swear something is out to get me, cause the ONLY episode I have even GLANCED at is playing right now, and I kid you not, there have been THREE sex scenes in this one episode. Dude. I'm lonely.  I haven't seen my boyfriend in too many months, and there are three scenes in an episode? Not cool, True Blood.  Not cool.

It seems people are awkwardly avoiding questions regarding my future.  I can't say I'm pleased or displeased either way.  I mean, I love the attention, since I'm terribly conceited. But at the same time, the ink my future is written in is still drying.  Am I going to Orlando, or am I staying in Washington? Am I getting a full time job, or am I getting a crappy job as a Wal*Mart greeter? See, I have a general idea.  In roughly 7 weeks, I'll be seeing Boyfriend (bought some SUPER CUTE CLOTHES) and hopefully after that my future will be clearer. Hopefully.  Like I've said before, Life has a weird way of never letting things go "as planned" for very long.

Whatever. Welcome to my Average Life.

    Side Note:
I am not neglecting my worldly (I guess it is just stately now) travel records.  I am just waiting for wifi so I can upload pictures and adequately describe things for you guys.

    Blurb My Brain:
So today I got to have lunch with my best friend from High School, Sarah.  It was awesome, since we just walked around the mall, and then ate lunch at Applebee's.  I had an oriental salad and some spinach artichoke dip.  I also got a cookie and looked in Borders.  And by looked, I mean contributed fruitlessly to their closing.  I spent nearly $100 on books.  I bought a series of Manga. (I told you guys I was a nerd right?) I also bought the Watchmen for my brother, and a puzzle for Patrick.  Then we went to Best Buy and I got a Leapster Camera for Patrick because he doesn't have one, and he always tries to take pictures. I loved catching up with Sarah, and we took a few pictures.  Not too many, but enough. So here is Saint Louis in a few 1000 words.
