I love the Japanese vets. I really do. They are nice. They are knowledgeable. They have an open appointment schedule.
But--
I feel like they just find excuses for us to come back.
We got Kilala fixed, and she had stitches. They wanted us to come back 3 days later to examine her healing. They charged us ¥500. Then they wanted us to come back 3 days later to remove the stitches. It cost us ¥1000. Apparently they won't do the rabies shot (even though we called and asked if they could) today as well since she was chipped today (at the American vet because the Japanese chips are not meant for outside of the island). So guess what our next appointment is? 3 days from now for another ¥500 examination fees.
I get tired of paying to have someone stick a thermometer in my cats ass every three days.
I realize full and well that we are literally talking about $15. But it still frustrates me.
