Movie review time: Wolverine (spoiler alert?)

We went to see Wolverine after going to see the 10,000 Eisa drummers. I enjoyed the movie even though there were two major things wrong with it.

According to my friend, before he even met Jean Grey, Logan studied in Japan. Therefore he should know the customs, the language, and how to tie a kimono on. It appears as though saving old man from the bomb in Nagasaki made him forget all of that.

Secondly, in the first chase scene, Logan and Mariko start in Minato where the Tokyo tower is, then cross into Rappongi, pass through Akihabara and then end up on a train in Ueno all within 5 min. Yeah. Google those names on a map, and you'll see my issue. ALL OVER THE MAP! In FIVE minutes? By foot? And in the middle of the day? Absolutely not. You'd get traffic stops, people in the way, and most importantly leg cramps. Why wouldn't you just jump on the train in Minato?

But aside from those two issues the story was good and a couple of the lines pretty predictable. As per usual Hugh Jackman doesn't have a shirt on for 75% of the movie. Some of the scenes had me cringing from what I would imagine would be very painful. And the villainess is a snakey rip off of Poison Ivy, and nothing like the comic book Viper who had no poisonous powers. So there was also that.

Even with alllll of that. I give it a 8/10 rating. You should definitely see it.
