Because I AM that awesome

Blurb My Brain:

So I'm totally going to steal Things That Are Not Bagels' design to talk about something totally different. :) Thanks Elise! But Anyway, I Had My Going Away Party At Work (since I capitalized Anyway). . . and they gave me a bunch of stuff! The first pic is a general looking of the stash they gave me, the second shows the order in which I will be talking about them.

1:  The Plaque.  So it reads Alyssa CENSOR, my dates of service, Thank You FOr Your Outstanding Service And Dedication To The CENSOR Branch, CENSOR, CENSOR.  This plaque is pretty, and rather small, maybe 7" wide and 5" tall, but it was unexpected.  I didn't think I'd be getting anything at the going away lunch, so that was a nice surprise.

2: Wiesbaden book. So normally they give you a Deutschland book, but maybe they were out or didn't raise enough money in one of the sneaky envelopes.  Regardless, I actually like the Wiesbaden one better, because as a poor college student, I didn't get to travel around Germany much, so seeing all these fantastic pictures of awesome places would probably just upset me.  But Wiesbaden, I've been all over that city! So seeing this book made me super duper happy.  And! It was signed by my coworkers and they talked about how awesome I am, so what would be the benefit of anything else?

3: Reeses peanut butter miniatures.  So we all have candy bowls, like any typical cubicle style office has.  But MY candy bowl was renowned.  I had the best candy, all the time, and sometimes even brought in super amazing things like Thin Mints, Authentic German Gummy Bears, Pistachios, or Peppermint Patties.  I never had so many good conversations with people as when they would come over just for the candy, and try to find something to talk to me about.  So they got me the bag of candy to relate to that.  But it also reminded me of a time when I brought in a bag similar to this, a coworker stole one and put it on another coworker's chair.  When she sat down, she got so angry because it was a dry-clean only skirt. And we still make fun of her for that.

4: Goodbye card.  The cover is awesome because it is an ego booster, and when I announced I was leaving one of the employees told me I was not allowed to leave.. Signed by everyone as well.

5: iTunes gift card for $25.  Would have been nice 48 hours prior when I spent $40 on iTunes in new music.  But now I can finally buy the third season of How I Met Your Mother. :D

So, that's it. That's how much I'm loved.  I basically took a picture of everything just so I can talk about the book and the candy.  I never claimed to have an interesting life. . . I mean my blog is called An Average Alyssa.  But thanks for stopping by! OH! and make sure you "Like" my facebook page and tell all your friends.  :)
